We don't know his culture. This could be a cultural thing, and perhaps very normal in his country, so he shouldn't be judged for that.
As far as that pick-up artist stuff on the web....very shallow. It seems like a waste of time and money (if you're paying for it).
I prefer the long-distance-no-sex-getting-to know-each-other man any day of the week before hooking up with someone who has to go online to figure out how to impress me.
