I'd strongly suggest a paid service (like Typepad, which I used until recently switched over to Wordpress) or get a domain at a place like Dreamhost (who I HIGHLY recommend). Dreamhost is running a deal now to celebrate their 500,000th hosting client that includes a ton of freebies (including 5 free domain registrations). Their basic service includes one free domain but the extra free ones are killer (that's roughly a $50 value right there).
