Going back to the induced "unconscious" state of anesthesia, I had no sense of time at all. I stayed awake as long as I could and I remember looking at the lights and all the busy people getting ready. The very next thing I knew, I was in recovery. It was as if it were moments later.

It seems like, under circumstances of such complete separation from the physical mind, this would be a ripe opportunity for astral projection, etc. Yet, that was not my experience.

I was feeling fear when I went under. I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Oh heck, I don't know!
