Playing poker provides value.
Without players there would be no game, no money to be won or lost.
Most of all no fun or entertainment.

Your providing entertainment for other players. Sometimes providing money for other players.

When I lose I don't feel like someone has taken value from me. They actually give me value. I can then study my HH and if I play that opponent again I have a idea of how he plays. Plus he provided me 5 hours of fun.
I would play poker even if I lost money or there's no money to be won.

I just love making +EV decisions and don't care about winning or losing as such.
