I was going to say that it makes for another good quote to put on my wall, but technically the employee is selling. In exchange for a certain amount of money, he/she is providing value. And most likely, as you say, he/she is providing more value than the salary received.

Which is why being an employee can be so demotivating to someone starting a business. B-)
