Stargirl, Shamou, Thanks for the kind words.
JohnPlace - you sure must have been very determined to have studied 6-9 hours memorizing for the exams! How long were you able to remember the textbook for after you were done for the exam? Thanks for the tip and good luck with your blog.
Angelwing - I saw on one of your other post that Music is your passion and that you want to be a music teacher and you're just doing this so you can have a stable career until you switch to your music career. So I don't know what to say - I have a very hard time focusing on something when I really want to be doing something else career wise. You have to find the reasons within yourself to study hard. I know other people who are also going the pharmacist route not because they love the field, but simply because it's a way to make money. They are also struggling in it because they don't care about the material, but just want to make money in it. It helped me a lot last semester that I loved the field I'm studying - I really enjoyed it so it made it easier to attend class, to read the chapters. It was tedious at times, and some of the assignment weren't as fun as others but the overall enjoyment of the subject matters made it easier for me to stay focused and aim for that high grade . In addition to enjoying the subject matter, for me, getting a degree in my field would allow me a lifetime of a fun and enjoyable career – so that's even more leverage for me to focus and be disciplined in this area. Tony Robbins is fond of saying “If you get a big enough “why”, then you can do anything”.
So, I'm not sure how to advise you when you don't have the drive as that's the most critical thing to have. Perhaps you can focus short term - the great feelings, the pride, the satisfaction you'd get when you pass your exams in two weeks? But you definitely have to think deeply and get a strong enough "Why am I doing this" to get yourself to study hard. And if you can't maybe you should switch to a different career. I wish you the best though for your upcoming exams and good luck next year.
