I think I agree with you. An alpha trait in animals is probably necessary and is built in as a protection for the species. However humans have the ability to reason. We do not need the dog eat dog mentality of leading the pack like animals do to survive. So I say get rid of it. It is also to a degree in humans though unfortunately but maybe over time we will evolve where we no longer have to deal with it.
