Default The core of the action vs. non-action issue

I've been thinking a lot about the LOA question of "Taking Action" vs. "Setting the intention and letting the universe deliver"

To me, the core of this is whether we can impact other minds, or impact even distant objects with our thoughts alone.

This would imply that there are mental transmissions send out from us that can be read, much like a television, radio, or cell phone signal.

For example, say you wanted $1000 dollars. If you believe in "non-action", you could transmit the thought out, and it would be somehow picked up by the target, and the target would be compelled to somehow deliver $1000.

If you believe in "action", then you would get a job or sell something, or go out and ask a bunch of people, or take some other action, and get the $1000 that way.

To break it down further, we are talking about verbal vs. non-verbal communication. It is not accepted (in the mainstream) that we can communicate beyond our eyes, ears, noses, mouths, skin, etc. without the aid of a device, i.e. television, cell phone, radio, etc. So if you believe in "mental" communication, LOA becomes a fairly crude attempt to harness this non physical transmission. And you need to believe that there is some entity on the other side of the transmission that will do your bidding, that will feel compelled to deliver you $1000, a car, a job, a date, hair, etc.

I find it to be somewhat plausable, and I wish it were true, but I also find it a bit of a stretch. The other side if it is that I know it works, or at least that has been my experience.
