What I'm going for in this framework
Astrology is to Physics as PD is to Analytical PD
I want to show how the physical and real feelings inside your body and brain/head/mind/eyes map to:
learning, tiredness, zoning out, thoughts, sleep, emotions, procrastination, motivation, happiness, sadness, frustration, joy, love, fear conciousness, habits, confidence, intelligence, intention/ manifestation, creativity, making goals, law of attraction, other weird concepts from other PD stategies, ... ect.... ect...
As always a work in progress, some of it is speculation... but grounded to reality through my experience. Could be contradictory that I need to realize and clarify, and as I think about it more, it will become more consistent and plausible and able to make better predictions about behavior. And all of these are my ideas... they could all be absolutely wrong, but I'm going to continue to work on them for myself, and hopefully they'd be useful for others.
Basically I want to make a dictionary of how to describe emotions and internal state. I'm trying to learn the skill of being able to control my mind. This is my attempt at going straight to the source of personal development. No more fuzzy stuff... this is going to be personal observations of states and emotions what it means and hopefully I'll come up with some good insights about why we act the way we do.
This is not supposed to be a spiritual thread really, though at first it might defiantly sound spiritual, cause I might use some vague terms at first. But maybe I'd get a better response if I posted this in the conciousness section of the forums, but I don't really want this to be a spiritual sounding thing. I really mean to this thread to be an analytical, scientific, experimental, direct exploration of one's internal state.
Intend to add: (at least so far)
- How to actually become "more conscious" and know it
- What levels of consciousness means
- How and why intention/manifestation works in this model
- feel this stuff I am talking about
- How to remove memories / reprogram memories
- How to feel young / old
I intend to adapt this model to explain:
Relationship/social stuff
The best way to get the best grades in college
[probably others...]
Fundamentals of Analytical Personal Development: (still being defined)
1.) There is nothing mystical about it. You can scientifically observe and be aware of your internal states and be able to predict them and know the causes and predict the effects.
2.) All your internal feelings have a direct mapping to the structures of your body and brain. You can become conscious of these mappings and know how to control them to cause desired change in states and emotions.
I wanted to do this because I see all sort of discussion about weird Quantum Physics conciousness, blah blah blah ... All that crap is just to make it sound really really advanced and high tech and that it can solve all your problems without you having to put in any thing at all, and so that you'll be really inclined to spend lots and lots of money. However I've not tried PATHS, so I wont dis it more than their really sick marketing, maybe it does work. Just a load of marketing B.S. I am a undergraduate physicists myself at UIUC, makes me sick when they pull that stuff. I am also a computer scientist, I am trying to figure out to make intelligent machines. Ok, yes I still have a long way to go, but since I have been able to observe my internal state so well, I can have a better road map of where to take it.
About my screenname, bayes is short for Bayesian, a concept used in artificial intelligence.
