I'm so glad we brought this up again.
If you don't already read
Raptitude.com, you should at least check out the last several posts regarding Douglas Harding and his work on being headless. The experiences help one grasp oneness, which is very relevant to SR.
Another way to embrace the concept that this is all a dream is via
A Course in Miracles. I'm kind of surprised nobody has mentioned it yet, though I guess it appeals to an older audience, maybe? In spite of language that sounds very Christan, the Course is not embraced or approved by the Catholic church or many of the other prevalent Christian religions. It is channeled material clarifying what Jesus
really said and
really meant before humans tweaked, adjusted and enhanced it all. And it is mindblowing, hard to wrap your head around, and absolutely freeing.
In a nutshell, it comes down to total forgiveness. Unconditional love, complete absence of judgment, and forgiveness... because what we see in others is what we see in ourselves, and if it is painful, we are resisting or failing to forgive this aspect of ourselves.
That kinda sums up what Steve's been talking about, in my mind.
Many of the teachings feel like Tolle's treatment of the Ego. (speaking of which,
A New Earth is another good doorway to moving your thinking in this direction)
I hope there are others who will share thoughts on the Course since I am new to it. I found out about it via
The Disappearance of the Universe, which is related material.
