Yes thats very unfortunate for sure, its the same with many religions I'm affraid. People that practice them project there own problems onto them and twist it into something else.

The more I discover about each religion the more I think that every religions core message is one of peace and communication. How interesting that we managed to twist the message so effectively...

Yes exactly, I have been basing it upon clothing/media and talk from other people. Lately I've been making efforts to try to understand the core message and looking past the 'fluff'. This doesn't mean I agree with a lot of things religion stands for but I start to understand why they are doing it.
