I think that this is the reason that affirmations work. You are saying something to yourself that you might not believe at first, but that your mind goes through the process of "Bayesian belief propagation" so that your subconsciousness automatically figures out to arrange itself to be consistent with the belief that you've instilled in it so that then it comes up with the structures IRs, automatically to make that belief true.
