I've been using Quicken Home and Business for several years and find it does almost everything that I need. It allows invoicing as well as some other useful things for someone running a business.
In one of my joint ventures we use Quickbooks but for most people I think it is overkill and the learning curve is more difficult. Quickbooks is more expensive than the Quicken.
