I love the fiddler, on the roof!
Thing about that movie, as tragic as some of the happenings were, or at least, some things seemed sad, what was really happening was that this whole village was living, and sticking staunchly to TRADITION, all the while, wanting change, for the better.
And as scarey as some of that change was, in the end, they were moving out, being forced out, and were heading off to new adventures, and a greater possability of that "hoped for" change, all were seeking, yet staunchly holding to the sameness provided by tradition.
