Default why can we discover things?

there are some similar posts out there, so i'll try and keep this specific....

why can we discover things?

why can we evolve and as our intelligence expands, we can see things that have already been there? all the resources available are the same, all the science going on is the same. but now we can connect the dots better.

why can we take resources and mix them together and create a cure for a disease??

if there is a god....then it created disease and it created the recipe to cure it. and then the whole point of evolving is to solve these mysteries. it's like life is a game. the prize is out there, we just gotta work hard to find it.

another idea is, life is this unpredictable 'thing' and it's a battle between the resources and the viruses that attack it. and discoveries are the 'system' trying to fend off these attacks.

i think this idea of us unravelling the mysteries of life is just our collective ability to think backwards, better. Thats why i dont think that it is evolution vs creation....they're the same thing. just one theory thinks back to the begining, and the other thinks back only a short distance in time. but they're part of the same thing...and as we discover more things we'll connect the dots between the two.

what are your thoughts
