Hi Jill,
Every time I moved house, I cleared/cleansed the whole house by burning white sage leaf. Close all the windows then start at the front door and walk through the house carrying the smoking leaf room by room. Walk around the inside edge of each room, open large cupboards and waft the sage smoke inside. When you arrive back at the front door, waft the smoke outside and shut the door.
You can do it with incense as well.
If I'm at someone's house and sense an energy that doesn't belong there, I visualize the white pyramid and can see the energy lift out.
