Simi… sometimes, in order to change… we have to reach what is called, “the threshold of tolerance…” that is, we have to get so disgusted with a situation that we decide that we will simply not take it anymore… something has to change… and it has to change right now…
You say that you are pretty… and to become a software engineer… you obviously have to be intelligent… so, you are as good as anybody else…
So, my advice to you would be to get really angry… and tell yourself that you will not stand for that situation anymore… and that you will stand on our own two feet from now on… and that nobody… but nobody is going to push you around…
If you get angry enough… and determined enough… you can do it…
At first, it may be hard… because people around you will be surprised at your new attitude and will not know exactly how to react… but after awhile… it will become normal… and, you and those around you will adapt to this new situation… the little kitten will have turned into a strong and determined tiger…
