aaronmp2003 is right as far as i know, you should be looking for body fat loss, and not just weight loss, where i do believe that 6 small meals a day would be the best solution. As far as the meals go, i would add 1 serving complex carbs and 1 serving of protein per meal.
In addition be sure to work out with both cardio, and weight training, and if you can, in the morning where your metabolism will be boosted for the rest of the day.
