Consider that there is no correlation between performance in an interview and performance in a job.

My suggestion is to skip it. Go out to lunch with the candidates, maybe with the people he/she will be working with, have a conversation.

Pick the one you like the most for a 3 month probationary period. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.
