What was this odd experience ? Hello,
First I want to apologize for registering under another pseudo, but I wish to precise this is because my first one showed my real name; however, for privacy reasons, I prefer to post anonymously today.
I had a few lucid dreams in my life, though nothing exceptional (every time I knew I was in a dream, and was taking advantage of it in order to do things I couldn't do in real life). My only disappointment with these lucid dreams is that usually I always worry about making them last longer, and it usually yields the contrary result.
A few months ago, while *trying* to have a lucid dream, I got a very weird experience. This was some kind of "dream" (not a lucid one) but without any pictures. There were feelings instead (as if all the feelings related to my being popped up all of a sudden to reveal my essence, to show me what I really am). Those feelings were not motivated by any external stimulus.
Separated from these, and simultaneously, there was the feeling of a presence (a malevolent one, if that matters). This was not that of a person but of an entity (this is very weird to explain, I know).
This was no nightmare. I experienced quite a few nightmares in my life (essentially as a child) and during nightmares the fear is as in real life. This was no real life fear. This was no lucid dream either, and no astral projection (it doesn't correspond with what I heard of it). But this was a midway between a dream and reality, and when I woke up, the feelings were resilient (unlike a usual dream or nightmare).
I know my words are pretty vague but I've just got no clue what it was. The instant interpretation I had, as if dictated by my own soul, is that I was confronted with my inner dark side and that I "actually belong to the dark".
This is weird. I would appreciate if someone had any input regarding this.
Thanks! |
