I would definitely get the book first... and read a few pages every day while outlining the passages that you find important... (using a yellow marker)...
Awaken the Giant Within is not a book that you read... it's a book that you study... just like you would study a book on math or on any other sciences... you don't want to read the book... you want to "assimilate" its content... it's a very rewarding process... and I can honestly say that it has turned my life around... and I can credit most of the success/happiness that I now enjoy to that book...
