While I could probably make a fairly long list of movies that have inspired me in some way, a movie I recently watched that renewed my sense of honour and inspired me to be, well, more honourable and more of what I would call a “real man” was
300.
I’m sure lots of people are going to get offended and turned off by all the violence and the macho, testosterone-fuelled elements in the movie and completely miss the all-important themes that make
300 much more then a rather satisfying and entertaining gore-fest, but I assure you, if you look deep enough, they’re there.
Whether they mean to or not, all forms of media make a statement, and in my opinion,
300 makes some pretty damn good ones.
