Close enough. You were most likely experiencing dual consciousness. You were partially in your body, but not all the way.

There is not an extremely defined boundary between dreaming and astral projection. There is just consciousness, and location is a matter of focus. A dream construct is as much a reality as anything else. The physical world is merely another type of dream construct that your consciousness focuses on, albeit one with the configuration of "denseness".

Everything is a dream. Astral projection is just focusing your consciousness to a perspective outside of your physical body's perspective. Sometimes, that involves an aspect of the so called "physical world" or sometimes it involves a so called "astral" or "dream" world.

There are an infinite number of realities, because the imagination is infinite.
