I've tried it; works quite well and not specially expensive, but for me the winner products are Paul Scheele's Paraliminal CDs (LearningStrategies).
I suppose it's easier when it's designed to hypnotise you

(mind you, there's websites out there with scripts to help you record your own hypnosis tapes, which may be not only cheaper but a better solution)
