I think playing certain games can be a good training ground for real life in the long run, as long as you eventually graduate. In real life you get to define your own quest and develop your character with a lot more flexibility than you can in a game. It may take longer to build your stats, but they really serve you well.
I'm amazed at that response, Steve. Very poignant. That's helped me very much with my perspective on games, at least.
