It's easiest to relax after exercise, as your physical energy is more grounded. For many people, exercise itself is meditative. In martial arts my dad has me meditate before and after practice. Feel free to try both (meditation before and after exercise) to see what works best for you. Doing it whenever you can is better than not doing it at all.
