Try hitting some webmaster forums and look for the forums that will allow you to offer your writing services. I did this at the end of last year and I ended up with more work then I knew what to do with! There are many, many webmasters willing to pay for original articles. Some tips from what I learned:
Try freelance.com they have a lot of writing jobs. You bid on projects, I know many people making pretty good money.
Make a small website or blog and put up a few writing samples for people to view. Because they will ask. And lay out your policies or people will hound you.
When you offer your articles - set a minimum amount they have to buy from you. And give a discount for larger quantities. Most importantly cap the amount of words you are willing to write per article.
Don't make the mistake of underpricing yourself too much. I did that in the begining... Many people don't want to "pay" for the articles. But if you tend to write quick and set a minimum, you can still make some nice cash.
Lastly, if you are familiar with blogging, there are many blogging jobs you can check out as well. Some pay-per-post and some are revenue share.
Good Luck!
