I'm 34. I don't presume that this advice will make sense or apply to anyone but the younger me. However, if I could send some insights to a younger me I'd say:
- Sometimes good enough really is good enough. Perfectionism is based in anxiety and fear. You have absolutely nothing to be fearful or anxious about.
- Mom and Dad did the best job they knew how and one of your greatest accomplishments will be to learn how to love them and accept them for who they are.
- You will never be better or worse than anyone, so celebrate your uniqueness and stand tall in your power.
- Love is a verb.
- If you stay at that job and ignore your feelings, you'll develop diabetes! You'll stay and you'll also learn to take exquisite care of your health.
- There will come a time when you don't have any use for words and labels such as good, bad, right, or wrong.
- The purpose of life is joy.
