 Channeling
My mother-in-law is a good friend of psychic Mary Jo McCabe. Before meeting her in Baton Rouge, I had no idea about how channeling, even though I (and my daughter) run a fair amount of psychic energy.
She did a fast "reading" on my daughter, and there is a visible, and verifiable change in Mary Jo's personality when she channels spirit. I was impressed.
To channel takes trust in the spirit you are channeling, as you almost allow them to take control of your body. If it's an evil entity, it'd be possession. The difference is clear, a person possessed is obviously being controlled by something evil. A channel who is being used by Spirit to communicate talks only of good and peace. If the channel tells you to worship them or you'll die of cancer, then it's possession.
What happens is Mary Jo (and Esther Hicks) allow the spirit to use their physical body to communicate with us during a session. They become a translator for the beings, not the same way I or John Edward or anyone else can hear or see people who've passed on... but in a more direct contact way.
I can't give up enough control except to do automatic writing.. and only briefly.
