For me I think a darkworker is preferential - at the polarised end, to a lightworker as it is more self sustaining.

when a person is sacrificing themselves they do wear out. and I find a contradiction in Freelancers 3rd point for lightworkers

A lightworker will NOT serve themselves first. they will only serve themselves IF they believe it will help the world and those around them. There are no rewards for a lightworker, no self reward. This is where the choice begins. This is where I feel I hover.

The path ahead of here. continue to serve, knowing that if i use the wisdom or knowledge i have about empathising with other and my natural ability to read peoples feelings through body language and what they dont say etc, for person gain, i loose a part of me that i believe to be valueable, what you call a lightworker.

you CANNOT serve yourself through others suffering without detriment to those that you watch over.

Being exceptionally empathetic makes you feel responsible. to ignore it makes you feel that you are in fact what others call immoral or evil and you will become a darkworker if you do.
I can't see past a lightworker who's only concern is the greater good, its basically beyond my comprehension. This is the level thats getting awfully close to jezus/buddha which is way WAY beyond my comprehension.

In the second stage you discover that improving yourself ultimately serves other people, in the third stage this is basically using that ability. The trend of self improvement started in the second stage and continue's/deepens in the third stage. If I would guess a clarity that allows you to serve only the greater good requires that you dig up a part of human psychology that always keeps serving yourself atleast partially around. I can't see that 'stage' with any clarity though, for all I know all my believes are incorrect and I need to change them before I can advance (I sure don't hope so ).

The lightworkers primary focus is still serving others but his primal instincts/lower consciousness prevents him from completely giving his life/energy/love to other people and this is still present at the third stage. Perhaps a higher stage can completely clear you from this, I don't know because I can't see that far yet. Intuitively it seems that its possible...

Right now I'm in stage 2 and stage 3 is looming at the horizon, going from stage 1---->2 took me about 5/6 years if I look at the very first conscious personal developments I made to myself. Note that for the first 5 years or so I didn't know the whole PD business or even that I was using it to some extend. In the past 3 months my personal development skyrocketed because I discovered Jim Rohn (he got me thinking) and eventually Steve Pavlina and some other sites/books.
So for me looking forward I can 'see' how stage 3 looks like since I'm closing in but whatever lies beyond that is guessing for me at this point. I know stage 1 and 2 better because thats where I respectively just got from and I'm at right now. The biggest thing I need to do before I can get to stage 3 is figure out if I'm a light or dark worker...

To me its not that usefull to speculate about the really high states if your still in the early stages. All you will do is cause confusion among the people still in the earlier stages, somebody who already arrived at a higher level of consciousness knows all of this intuitively and shouldn't feel the need to discuss it. For such a person it 'should' be more important to help people understand the earlier stages, if somebody has started the journey than his own discovery's will help him through the higher stages. This is also what I see in these forums from my viewpoint, people who are in the earlier stages speculating about the higher stages instead of focusing on actually trying to get there and help others get there. Now it has its uses and its not completely wrong, but a lot of discussions (as so frequintly happens on forums) eventually turn around in circles which is completely pointless. This is also where I think Steve went wrong he is talking about the higher conscious where he (apparantly) arrived while most of his audience is still in the lower conscious region which causes confusion as evidenced at these boards.

Note that both light and darkworkers are not evil, they are both on a path of personal growth and enlightment. However they face different challenges along the way and a different focus which makes it usefull to make the disctinction. There's another distinction to make which is positive/negative, this is where a lot of people seem to make a mistake. Darkworkers are NOT negative they are positive, negative would be a deceived light or darkworker. I'd rather not talk to much about the negative side, lets just say they'r misguided. Positive/negative is the deep inside core of a being and there motivations, light and darkworkers both have the core idea of helping and growing. They can still have flaws that might seem negative, but there core is still positive. I honestly believe that there aren't any humans who are inherently evil, just misguided persons. True negative evil works on a higher level, perhaps they are persons so misguided that they can't exist in this plane anymore. Again this is beyond my perception at this point...

Ps. I noticed that I am using stages and higher conscious together as one concept, so regard them as the same if you find it confusing. I don't think there exactly the same since the stages are specific for 'good' light/dark workers and higher consciousness can be used in different concepts as well.
