You haven't explained why you believe the heart has place for only one. That implies that the heart is a limited structure, and is not an abstract, emotional thing. Love is limited by emotional maturity.
Undoubtedly most people don't have the emotional maturity to truly love more than one person. But that doesn't mean that such a thing is impossible. Difficult in today's society which produces so many self-centred people (who are self-centred to the detriment of others), but none-the-less possible. As evidenced by those who truly believe they are in love with multiple people, and who lead happy, fulfilling lives which back up their claims.
And since some obviously have the capability of being in love with more than one person, I can't subscribe to the limiting belief that the heart has place for only one.
