Default Make a plan.

I suggest making a list of all areas that you want to develop in. Then plan the next year so that all of those areas are covered.
Month 1, social skills
Month 2, concentration skills
Month 3, emotional skills
Month 4, physical skills etc..

During the month, immerse yourself in literature, exercises, forums and everything related to the subject of that month.

You will then know that every part of your PD list will be covered, just not now. If you find some info for "concentration skills" but you're still developing social skills then archive it for Month 2. In Month 2 you can read it. If you get the urge to read different material, tell yourself you can read it when the month is there.

Also try to find an exercise that you stick to even though it's "another" month.
For instance, if you start as above, and train yourself to look people in the eye, continue that same practice in months 2,3,4 etcetera. If you train your concentration skills by doing multiplication of random numbers you see on the street or by counting the words on the page of a book, then continue those little practices during the following months.

Try prioritizing your areas so that one builds on the other.
I'd say practice concentration skills before you try meditating, speedreading or any other mental activity.

Good luck!
