Meditation, Protection, exit points I'd like to share some techniques I used when I was teaching meditation classes that might be helpful to novice venturers.
I started out working with a group of friends, exploring, and we learned some hard lessons along the way but they set me in good stead when I begin teaching classes.
I always opened my classes with a group protection meditation that opened my students up and then used a closing down meditation at the end.
The reason I did this was because when we went 'out there' without protection, some people picked up 'hitchhikers' and had unpleasant experiences. There is a layer quite close to our energy fields of 'lost souls.' For the most part these are people who have passed away suddenly and are still very attached to the earth plane for various reasons.
They are attracted to our light rather like moths to a light bulb. They can, if we're not careful, take up residence in our energy fields (and bodies). I've had friends & students dabbling, without protection, 'pick up' energies and suddenly become very depressed or feel physical symptoms of illnesses that hitchhiker had before they passed over. These sensations are real, can stay with you 24/7, and can be very alarming.
My oldest daughter 'picked up' a young boy who'd died in a car accident (strangled by his seat belt) when she was leaving a party one night. She staggered in through the front door blue in the face and struggling the breathe. She could hear him calling out for his Daddy. At the time she'd been working, studying, drinking and opening up psychically. I called in my guides and cleared her energy field that time but taught her how to do it for herself in case I wasn't around if it happened again (see below).
I also taught students a simple individual technique of putting on a psychic condom, where you imagine yourself in a bubble. You gradually breathe in white light and visualize the light filling your whole body. When you are filled up, imagine it swirling out the top of your head and soles of feet, filling the bubble until there's no room for any more.
I found when I was talking students down to level in meditation that if they went down further than the heart chakra, they'd end up in their own emotions.
I'd have them imagine themselves stepping into a lift, then breathing slowly and deeply, gradually descending down to their heart chakras. From there we'd venture out on either a guided mediation or their own journey. As they became more confident they'd find themselves exiting through the third eye or crown chakras.
One of my students started 'seeing' accidents and disasters that would then appear on TV in her meditations. She didn't want to see these things so I told her not to get out on that floor and instead, stay in the lift and get out higher up. It worked. She came back and said she imagined a number panel inside her lift and taped over the lower floors. She asked to be taken to the level where she could meet her guides, her higher self and experience unconditional love.
You create your own capsule to travel in and choose your destinations.
Clearing Your energy Field: It pays to do this regularly. Find a comfortable place on the grass or stand in the shower (you can do it anywhere you relaxed). Imagine white light pouring in through the top of your head filling your body, then see it swirling around your energy field cocooning you. Breathe slowly and deeply. Then command that anything that is in your energy field that is not for your highest purpose, leave right now. Command three times. You will feel your energy clear, get lighter.
There are lots of different techniques around that can be just as effective. Find one that works for you. I'd love to hear from people who've used other methods.
