I've really wondered about this myself. There's been times when I was so enthralled with something that I'd think only 5 minutes had passed, but then I actually checked it was on the order of 40 minutes. Strangely enough I don't remember trying much to change my perception of time. Maybe I'll go experiment with that, but I'd love to hear of anyone else's experience with all this.
