Interesting post here. I haven't researched this much, but it sounds like you're in the neighborhood of understanding.
So, we know all things are matter, or more specifically energy in vibration. Including thought. Consciousness though, is different from thought....hmm....
Well, your post got me thinking; when I think 'aloud' in my mind, i'm forming words, my mind is forming ideas, and is giving off 'vibrations' as the ideas are formed. The ideas stimulate minute physical/chemical responses in my body, which, if given the technology, could be measured. So, if each word/emotion combination has it's own unique vibration and phys/chem response associated, and if we were able to map them, we could develop 'mind reading' technology, down to the sentence a person is 'thinking'. It's reading/interpreting thought waves, basically, or chem responses, or a combination. Now, imagine some tech earphone that took those readings and translated them back into spoken word, wouldn't that be cool. I think this is possible, with work. You could listen to people in their sleep, or in a coma, or with some other devices, from across the room. Wonder when they're going to figure this out...
