What she didn't mention was that the reason I picked "Savage" for my BBS handle was that I had a poster on the wall above my PC for Savage Empire, an old Origin game based on the Ultima IV game engine. When I first logged onto the BBS, I was trying to pick a handle and looked up at the poster and thought, "Yeah, Savage will do."

Erin and I became close friends first and didn't even go on our first formal date together until a month after we'd met.
