I wrote the first draft in the morning (2.5 hours), took a break to have lunch while Skyping with my g/f, and then edited it in the afternoon (2 hours), so about 4.5 hours total.
Normally I could write an article of this length in less than 4 hours, but I wanted to polish it a bit more, so I invested extra time in the editing.
Writing it was effortless. The ideas flowed very easily.
