Default If Your Only Goal is to Become Rich...

...you will never achieve it. - John D. Rockefeller

I received this quote today from Nightengale-Conant as their Motivational Quote of the Day and wanted to share it with everyone as it really got me thinking about what that truly means.

There is so much more to life than just money. However, there is so much more to enjoy in life because of money. Getting to a place where I understand that as I create this wealthy, abundant life - I am also putting myself in a place to contribute on a much grander scale than I previously imagined.

For instance, in the past I was the person who became irritated when I was solicited for money for various charitable organizations. I used to say "I am going to pass on giving $50 this time, maybe next time", but now I look forward to saying "I am going to pass on giving $50, but how about I give you $500 instead!" What a wonderful feeling that is!!

I also struggled in the beginning when I was told to come from a place of service. I thought how can I come from a place of service when I am doing this for me and my family? But when I realized that by being a leader and showing people that a better way of life truly does exist, I am offering the most wonderful service I can! And because of that, the money will follow.

To truly be rich means that I am happy and wealthy in all areas of my life but am also greatly enriching the lives of others - my family, friends, community, charities, etc.

So yes, if your ONLY goal is to get rich then you will never achieve it - because being rich, in the true sense of the word, is so much more than the amount of money you have in your bank account.
