There could be a number of reasons for not being able to use the law of attraction effectively. In Soul Realignment we look at at least 35 different blocks and restrictions that could be causing problems.
Negative entities come up frequently because they run programmes such as 'timidity' or 'lack' in our emotional or mental bodies that hold us back and gum up the works. They aren't anything to be afraid of though. Once we are aware of the entity, we can make a request for it to be removed immediately. We are completely powerful. This issue is knowing it is there in the first place because they are like spyware and don't want to get caught.
Other issues can be things like past-life vows of poverty or suffering that are still in the record and need to be rescinded. There can be issues at the chakras to do with abundance. Negative thought forms in the aura, or missing soul facets.
Some people are just natural manifesters and will manifest quickly anything they think about whether that is negative or positive. There's another group of people that can only manifest when they are on their highest path and purpose. If they try to manifest something that isn't 100% aligned with their highest good, they just won't get anything! Most of us are in the middle of those 2 examples.
