Just a thought: would it be an idea to face the karma music
to be on the 'clear up the old mess and have it over with thing' and take Bob for a coffee? I understand the predicament of the situation which may not be easy and so on but basically you and Bob apparently have somethng to sort out. (Or you with him, who knows?) Go to boxing class together or something, sort it out. Hey, worst case scenario you start another business again after doing this job. So which ever way, it will work out. Go with your gut feeling, not your head.
Oh... and some people say that you can ask out loud before going to bed or whatever for a solution to present itself. I have found speaking out loud for more work and sales absolutely works! (In a I appreciate etc etc way
