Setting boundries is the most important thing you can do. Setting them is easy. You have to maintain them as well, which is the hard part.
You can love him unconditionally. But it doesn't mean you have to have put up with the things he does. You don't have to give him money, a place to live or rescue him when he gets in trouble with the law. It doesn't mean you love him any less.
He's 34, it's time to let him deal with his life. You can't seek help for him, the courts can't seek help for him. He's got to do that on his own. |
