Why would it want you to be dead?
Usually that would be only if the being was taking revenge for something you did or something someone related to you did to it or to a relation of it.
But it could be that the being wanted energy, positive energy, a higher vibration of energy for healing itself or for elevating itself from a lower astral existence.
