Being a cashier for years, I run across 11.11's, and any other matched up numbers, hundreds of times a day. Plus, my work also makes me a clock watcher. In fact, raising kids and being in a family situation, and having jobs makes us all clock watchers. So 11:11 means nothing to me, and gives me no feelings, and I get no sense of any communication.
I hear it all day long from the customers though. I ring up their total, and it may be $12.00 even. "WOW", they proclaim. "What are the odds of that". If the total is 12.12, I get the same reaction. But, I ring up sums all day long. The only thing I've noticed that has begun to happen recently, after reading about the 11:11 thing is this. I ring up one person, and the total is, say, $26.73. They pay me, and I give them there change. The very next person I ring up has a different total, but , get this, there change is $26.73. I had this type of thing happen to me the other day, about 5 times, but in each of these times this occurred in a pattern of three sets of customers. Something like. Customer 1. Total $13.47. Customer 2. Change $13.47, Customer 3. Total $29.77. Customer 4. Change $29.77, Customer 5. Total $44.24. Customer 6. Change $44.24. Now that was weird, and this sequence occuerred about 5 times in that day. That, I had never come across before.
But, I still don't get any messege out of this. What's the messege?  |
