I see the point but I also like Dooley's take on it - the Universe knows better than you do what you want and will bring it if you don't get bogged down in the how's and specifics.
How is $50,000 going to do anything for me? It's not the paper and ink its what I'm going to with the money - travel or whatever - that is going to make me happy. And its the happiness that's the real goal. So, if I say I want to write a book that's going to make me $50,000 the first year so I can take a cool trip to Europe I am placing limits on the Universe.
What I want is the international travel so I should ask for that rather than ask for the stuff that I think is the best way to get there. Admittedly, that's basically what the post says. Splitting hairs I guess.
I didn't get the cool gig I have now by asking specifically for it, I got it by just trusting/expecting that everything would work out. It did and better than I'd hoped for.
