This is a little late, but from what I've experienced and from what I've heard you should be able to see your aura in a mirror. There is a lot of debate as to whether aura phenomenon is actually light related or rather a translation of information to a visual presentation. Either way, I've seen it and I've read several accounts of other people being able to see it in a mirror (or TV for that matter).

From my brief experience with reading auras, is is very unlike giving yourself a work evaluation. In a class, the rest of the student body and I were able to recognize recovering illness. It was a sinus infection and showed up as a disruption is the auras form around the nose. This was with minimal practice on our parts. It was there plain as day.
