You've had some great responses here already, and I'd like to add to them....
As someone who has historically had an "issue" with money all my life, I have made the most amazing breakthrough recently, and would like to share it in case there is something in it for you too
Like so many of us, I grew up with a belief in lack. My family struggled financially, and, despite an iron work ethic and an optimistic belief that "one day my ship will come in", were always "chasing rainbows".
As an adult, I discovered "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and my beliefs changed - easily. It was as if someone had just taken a blindfold off me. Over the following years, I explored all the SD information I could find. Worked hard. Finally found out about the LOA through The Secret. All along I was looking to solve my "money issue" No matter what I did, how hard I worked, money was always a struggle. It seemed to go out of its way to avoid me
Things that worked for others, fell apart for me. When I did get money, my car would break down and cost a fortune to fix etc. Even though I KNEW now that there was abundance all around me for everyone, even though I did everything I read about - working hard, positive attitude, worked in a "normal job" for the first time in my life. Got an additional job and worked weekends as well... and so on....
I decided there must be some subconscious belief in lack or undeserving. So I did EFT. Which did have an effect, but money still wasn't showing up.
Then I discovered "Busting Loose from the Money Game" and the Ho'oponopono information through Joe Vitale's Zero Limits. That made perfect sense to me - or most of it anyway. I took from those, the info that made sense and ignored the rest.
Then..... FANFARE Please!!...... A comment from my sister a few weeks ago gave me a "lightbulb moment"! "I DON'T HAVE A MONEY PROBLEM! I have a Self Esteem problem." Now - I never thought I had a Self Esteem problem... but I realised that
if a person has healthy Self Esteem and Self Worth, they wouldn't create lack of any kind for themselves. If I loved myself, I would create only abundance!
I felt like an enormous weight had been lifted when I said
"I don't have a money problem!" So, I started focusing on my Self Esteem. I started recognising that, since I create and attract everything in my life, all the good stuff (sunny days, smiles from strangers, unexpected money, working with great people etc.) must be expressions of how much I love myself.
I made a decision to recognise, throughout my day, all the ways in which I express love for myself - through situations and through others - and to appreciate those expressions.
When I feel worried about something, I remind myself that I now only create and attract situations and people that make me feel good, and that are good for me
My life has turned around in the most amazing ways.
Having been out of work for a long long time, I recently manifested four jobs in my profession (rather than in an office or shop as I had been before) (I freelance) within a few days of each other - the jobs spread over two weeks, paying a total of £360. Not an enormous amount of money, but a lot more than the nothing I was getting before
Not only that.... but the people I'm working with (especially on two of the jobs) are Amazing!! The one gig was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my career - incredible people, and spending most of the time laughing!
On my way home on the first day I said to myself "Look what I created for myself - look how much I love myself! And it's SO great to be paid to have fun again!!"
Not only that..... but, having not had a car for many months and struggling because I live quite far out, I manifested a wonderful and perfect second-hand car that is better than my old one, and that I love!!
Not only that.... but the payment for two of the jobs (paying £100 each), that usually takes anything from one to three months to come through - I got the cheque ON THE NIGHT!! Practically unheard of!!
Not only that..... but having not won anything on the lottery (I still buy a ticket each week to keep that door open in case I fancy creating some abundance through that fun avenue
) ... having not won a single penny for years (yeah, some major blocks there
) I won £10 last week! not a huge amount, but I SO appreciate it because to me, it's another example of how my love for myself is growing and I'm finding more ways to express it.
Not only that.... but I managed to manifest the following completely unexpected amounts over the last two weeks: £20, £57, £20, £50, £10, £20, £1, £50 and then yesterday another £20 - and none of these amounts are from any kind of work or business - just gifts and expressions of appreciation, and found money!
Also, I know that by recognising the ways I express love for myself through all the good stuff in my life, I'm creating and attracting more of the same - so it just keeps getting better and better, and will continue to do so! What Fun!!
I am so excited. I do believe that Self Esteem is vastly underestimated, and could be the root cause of most "issues". If you love yourself unconditionally and you have high self worth, you will create only abundance and "good stuff" for yourself - and even the "don't wants" you create occassionally will only initially
appear as a "don't want" and will turn out to be - or lead to - a "do want". Well, that's my belief anyway
