I haven't read all the replies so I apologize if someone else has mentioned this, but it sounds like you are focusing on what you think you "should" be instead of who you are. If you aren't an academic superstar (most of us aren't!), perhaps you should look at what you DO do well. Maybe you have some artisitic or creative talent. Maybe you're good at working with your hands (carpentry, mechanics, etc.). Maybe you're a skilled listener, an athlete, or good with animals.
I think Steve has a blog on finding your purpose somewhere - maybe that would help you get out of the "I suck because I'm not good at X like others are."
