Interesting theory, I was thinking along the same lines. But not as far back as egyptian head pieces.
I was wondering about the crown chakra and how the energy flows. Becuase me personally I feel I work better when my hair is out and head isn't covered. Which made me realise that many religions wear hats of a sorts. And I was questioning if it was career/environmental reasons (working with food/ being from the dessert/the pillow-sheet conversion of the turban) or to close off the energy coming out of the crown. My mind went to this topic agian this morning becuase I saw a balding man, I noticed my crown chakra feels like it comes outta my soft spot and wondered if it's just clearing the space or reverting back to a breathing intake like dolphins. So with what you are asking, I wonder if they use the hat when working with the energy coming from the crown chakra.

The scepters could be wands. Neil Slade describes a wand as something that could be grasped with an outstretched arm (I commented that Mary Poppins make sense to me now becuase umbrellas, walking sticks, lighters, cameras, phones ect could be a wand.) And one way he uses his wands for inter dimensional travel. I was interested in what he had to say because he talks about popping your amygdala and developing your frontal lobes (switching from reptile to mammal side of the brain). He also says you can only use these wands if your frontal lobes are fully developed.

The ankh. Doesn't it represent life, or should I say, the creation of life? I remember hearing something about it representing the feminine and the masculine. The round part is the womb, the bottom the male and the points the fallopian tubes or tubes from the nuts. Which makes me wonder if it's just a sectional from the flower of life diagram, I can easily see it if you look at the tree of life (was thinking it could a circut loop flow *shrugs shoulders*). Maybe the rose is a reminder to the bigger representation. The origin and patterns of all creation. Which has a great significance. Especially if they are using all these adornments to Create or understand something. For some reason I'm thinking about Da'ath as the reason why they put it to their nose (I don't know why)...

And you mentioned anti-gravity.. I remember hearing that you could make an object float in the air by somehow projecting it's exact vibration to it and maybe changing it to make it lighter than air.

I can't wait to hear about your results though.
It should be a fun interesting experiment.
I am curious as to what core elements you plan on using to make these hats?
