Default Find your purpose

Hi,

Based on how you described your situation, I'd venture to say that you are lacking direction (or purpose) in your life.

I believe this is the first thing you need to find. Once you have it, you will be able to set specific goals to get there i.e. you will know where you are going and why.

Now, finding your purpose can be pretty hard to do. I had a very tough time finding mine and I only found it at age 34! (In case you wonder what it is ... in a nutshell ... I want to help other get what they want and succeed in life).

Here are a few things to consider to find your purpose:

- Those who succeed in life have found a way to make a living doing what they love most. It's their passion that drives them and money is just a result of them pursuing their passion.

- Ask yourself ... What do you love so much doing, that you would be willing to do it for free or If you would win a huge amount of cash at the lottery, after the partying, the travel and the purchases ... how would you spend your days?

- Whatever your purpose is, try to have it tied to helping others. Zig Ziglar said "You can have what you want in life, if you just help enough other people get what they want.".

- Finally, here is a little exercise you can do to help find your purpose. (1) List your 2 most dominant qualities, (2) write how you like to express those qualities when you interact with other people, (3) describe in 1 sentence what your perfect world would look like and (4) combine (1), (2) and (3) in one statement.

Good luck!
René
