I've noticed that it really is a matter of 'using-it-or-losing-it'. A few months back I was really starting to make progress in remembering a number of dreams a day. But started to fall behind when I didn't record them as much, first thing in the morning, thinking there were more important things to be done when waking. Therefore, my recall started to decline. So, back to recording dreams seriously now, regardless of what has to be done in the morning.
